Hello!
I hope this message finds you well - I wanted to bring an upcoming projection event featuring new patterned works to your attention. For one night only, Friday November 17th 2023, from 6pm - 8pm, I will be projecting animated “Azulejo Vivo (Living Tile)” patterned works merging my Brazilian heritage and Troy’s architectural Legacy onto the facade of the historic Gasholder House building in downtown Troy, NY.
Azulejo Vivo (Living Tile)” is an expansion of the digital projection project “Our Patterns, our Architectures” which was created for the inaugural Troy Glow temporary public arts festival in downtown Troy, NY. With a looping 8 minute total runtime, this series of 15 moving patterns explores new opportunities for dynamism, engagement and collaboration with site through projection mapping software and archival research.
Light refreshments, music and company will be provided, weather dependent, outside of 106 Jefferson St. Troy, NY 12180. Projections will play rain or shine.
This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by The Arts Center of the Capital Region
